Facilitators for the Annual Peyote Retreat
This is a once-a-year gathering held in a small, respectful container (max 8 guests) in Portugal. Hosted by Vine of the Soul Retreats, the retreat culminates in a single Peyote night held with Marakame Juan and Curandera Devi Chandra Ma (Prana Foundation). Chandra is based in Portugal and joins as a close collaborator; Marakame Juan travels to Europe specifically to bring and guide the Peyote ceremony.

Curandera Devi Chandra Ma
A Mexican curandera and facilitator of ancestral medicine ceremonies (Ayahuasca, Bufo Alvarius, Peyote) with 20+ years of experience. Her path was shaped by a profound near-death experience, leading into devotional work rooted in Mother Earth and the Divine Mother — weaving shamanic, Vedic, and earth-based practices, including sacred feminine work, cacao ceremonies, and singing.
Marakame Juan (Don Juan Ortiz)
A Wirrarika (Huichol) traditional healer from Jalisco, Mexico, and the First Chant Leader (Primer Cantor) of his community. With 35+ years walking the Blue Deer Medicine (Hikuri / Peyote), he leads the traditional Wirikuta Deer Hunt pilgrimage and is among the few permitted to perform sacred living offerings — ceremonies devoted to honoring the elemental forces and restoring balance for all life.
